Born in Montreal to a family of Chinese-Cambodian refugees, this dual culture has led him to create in a desire to build and define himself. With a degree in graphic design, he became familiar with the digital world, aware of the infinite possibilities of these media, yet wary of their mechanicity, preferring the intuitiveness that a more abstract pictorial approach allows him, to compositions influenced by his past as a graffiti artist. He paints everyday subjects with a pronounced taste for geometric shapes and compositions inspired by graphic design. Somewhere between figurative and abstract art, he creates dynamic compositions in which he deconstructs forms to give a second approach to an image, an idea, a memory…
His work can be seen in the United States, Canada, Haiti and Cambodia. Beyung lives and works in Montreal.
Mack is a visual artist based in Guadalajara, Jalisco (Mexico), whose work explores urban memory through the reconfiguration of erased graffiti, the superimposition of images, painting, pastiche, and erasure—both visual and conceptual. By treating these elements as vestiges, he constructs a reflection on the historical and aesthetic layers of public space.
His work has been presented at various national and international public art festivals, including VILADOMAR in A Coruña and INTRAMUROS in Valencia, Spain. A recipient of several awards, Mack won first prize in the TRAZA Jalisco (2020 edition) and Jalisco-Québec (2024) competitions.
He has exhibited both solo and in group shows at renowned institutions such as the Raúl Anguiano Art Museum, the Juan Soriano Gallery, the Ex-Convento del Carmen, and the Armen Daguer Gallery. His work has also been honored with an Honorable Mention at the Salón de Octubre in Guadalajara and at TRÁMITE – Collectors’ Office in Querétaro.
Mack has participated in exhibitions in several cities around the world, including Mexico City, Madrid, Lisbon, Porto Servo, Paris, Berlin, and Medellín. His visual universe, rich in layers and contrasts, reflects a constant interest in the processes of construction, disappearance, and transformation within the urban landscape.

Artwork description
This project is a collaboration between Bryan Beyung (Canada-Quebec) and Daniel Resendiz (Mexico-Guadalajara). Together, they will create a mural in a community garden in Montreal’s Sud-Ouest borough. The mural addresses the issue of climate change. The central element of this mural will be the Perla Eterna—or the eternal white (Anaphalis Margaritacea), a flower native to North America.
This plant is the first to regrow after a wildfire, illustrating nature’s resilience in the face of environmental disasters. Through this work, the artists aim to draw a parallel between the resilience of flora and fauna and contemporary environmental challenges, particularly the uncontrolled wildfires that ravage hectares of forest each year, both in Quebec and in Guadalajara.
This project aims to forge a connection between Canada and Mexico by raising public awareness of climate issues and contributing to the fight for environmental preservation.
