The collective project TYXNA gathers various figures of the Montreal mural and digital art.
At the forefront of the artistic experience, their common passion for sharing and togetherness motivated their gathering around a collaborative entity. Eager to create a privileged relationship with the viewer, TYXNA is the result of collective thinking, and offers immersive and sensorial mural works based on urban and digital art techniques with the vocation to bring the public elsewhere, to open a window on innovative pieces that interact with their environment to question it and to provoke thought. With more than 500 projects under their belt, the members of the TYXNA project have a high level of expertise in managing complex productions and collaborating with multiple community organizations from diverse backgrounds. Driven by a deep creative energy, TYXNA carries in its XNA* art as a catalyst for living and building a future together.
Artwork description
Our creation is presented in the form of a diptych aiming to reflect the summer life of LaSalle Park, opposite the two facades which will host our murals. Thus, the lush vegetation of the park will unfold in a pictorial manner on both sides of William MacDonald Street.
These two works embody the joy and plenitude that reign during a hot late summer day in this green space and that our artists were able to capture during visits and their creative workshops with citizens. This painting offers a more mature perspective of this idyllic day. It features two people swimming in the park’s pool, while a couple relaxes on a picnic blanket.
Once again, our collective aspires to represent the feeling of relaxation, rejuvenation and happiness that the park provides to its inhabitants.
These two works respond to each other thanks to recurring elements such as the colored cloud, the balloons and the festive garland. We also sought to express our artistic fantasy through a surrealist composition.
