Mémoire de l’avenir 2025 – An urban exhibition of contemporary art

Habiter l’incertain | Commissioned by Diane Gistal

From July 1 to October 1, 2025

Summer 2025 marks the fifth edition of Mémoire de l’avenir, the urban poster exhibition project that celebrates and links several generations of Quebec artists. From July to September, this initiative will take over the streets of Montreal – Tiohtià:ke, with the help of Publicité Sauvage. You’ll be invited to discover a constellation of original works of art, presented in the open air, that bear witness to the vitality, diversity and collective memory of contemporary creation.

This year, Mémoire de l’avenir showcases three duos, each composed of artists at different stages of their careers, linked by a common fibre.

  • Léuli Eshrāghi & Florencia Sosa Rey
  • Lorna Bauer & Marwan Sekkat
  • Andrew Jackson & Sophia Borowsk

Mémoire de l’avenir 2025 is more than just an exhibition; it’s an invitation to rediscover Montreal through the prism of contemporary art, celebrating the diversity and richness of Quebec’s artistic expressions. Get ready to be inspired and redefine your relationship with urban art this summer!
