Public Art Montreal and TOUT-COURT are teaming up to offer a unique experience that combines physical activity with cultural exploration: Courir la tulipe, a friendly run in the heart of the Plateau-Mont-Royal.
On May 16, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., participants are invited to lace up their running shoes and take part in a roughly 10 km course, accessible to everyone, where sports and public art come together.
A race tracing the shape of a tulip through the streets has been created to combine sport and culture: https://www.strava.com/routes/3480723971732461266
This spring “fun run” will allow participants to discover more than thirty works of public art, murals, sculptures, and installations that dot the neighborhood. Stops are planned along the route to learn more about specific works and the artists shaping Montreal’s cultural landscape.
Designed as an activity that is fun, active, and enriching, Courir la tulipe celebrates the return of sunny days by inviting residents to (re)discover their neighborhood in a new way, combining movement, culture, and camaraderie.
