Emmeline—also known as Moule—is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal who specializes in mural painting, illustration, and graphic design. After studying art and graphic design in France, London, and Berlin, she worked for several years as a senior designer at the Society for Arts and Technology before devoting herself entirely to her artistic practice.
Through her murals, she explores themes related to nature, community, and inclusivity. Driven by feminist and collaborative values, she also develops participatory workshops to create spaces for exchange and make art accessible to everyone.

Artwork description
This mural was created to mark the 30th anniversary of the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul’s “Opération Bonne Mine” program, which, since 1986, has been supporting elementary and high school students from families with limited resources. Its mission is to encourage students to stay in school, prevent dropouts, and help break the cycle of poverty.
This mural, created in conjunction with workshops involving young people from the Oxy-Jeunes and Motivation Jeunesse organizations, depicts the balanced ecosystem formed by a young person’s community and highlights the importance of every person in their life. The responsibility for a young person’s perseverance lies not only with teachers and parents, but also with everyone they interact with on a daily basis.
You are part of it, too! A parent’s friend, a coach, or a neighbor can influence this balance—a balance represented here by the mural’s many small elements, which intertwine in a complex, almost circus-like structure, symbolizing the fragility and beauty of this community that helps a young person persevere.
The two figures, seen from behind with backpacks on their shoulders, are moving toward the future that awaits them. Their gaze, directed at the viewer, seems to ask:
“I’m persevering; I’m moving forward—and you, what are you doing to help young people?”
