Anachar Basbous
Lebanese native Anachar Basbous was born into the world of sculpture in 1969. His father was a sculptor, giving Anachar access to a fascinating playground, a garden of three-dimensional works to climb on, run around and contemplate. He soon caught the bug, creating his first sculpture at the age of 10. He later continued his studies in Paris at the École nationale supérieure des Arts et des Métiers d’art, where he specialized in architectural wall design. In 1992, he returned to Lebanon and opened his own studio, dedicating himself to sculpting in stone, wood and metal. Today, his works are found in France, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and several other countries.
