Tima
Tima is a Moroccan visual artist and street artist from Khouribga. The woman often circulates in the dreamlike compositions of this graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Casablanca as a recurring and emblematic theme, in the guise of an enigmatic and closed face, as if totally detached from the discontinuous and unpredictable movements that surround her, silently contemplating the unknown or simply lost in her own thoughts. Tima presents powerful works as odes to the unknown, memory and resistance. The artist’s approach resists the attribution of an overly assigned meaning, preferring to let the imagery speak for itself. She juxtaposes saturated colors and loose brushstrokes with lines and patterns inspired by Moroccan heritage.
