Izabelle Duguay

Izabelle Duguay is a visual artist based in Montreal. She has always been interested in the scale of art, the power of colors and the connection between natural and urban forms. Her studio work, as well as her murals, bring together the abstract with à minimalism and the geometric with the organic in a constant exploration of textures and shapes. Their primary purpose is to energize or soothe the viewer and to harmonize with the surrounding architecture.

With a bachelor’s degree in set design and a master’s degree in art education from Concordia University, Izabelle has worked as an artist and educator for the organization MU for over seven years. She has also collaborated withcreative agencies such as MassivArt, Artgang, Artbangbang, La Centrale des Artistes to name a few. She has over forty murals to her credit, including a tribute to the permanent collection for the International Pavilion for Education and Art Therapy Michel de la Chenelière, from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She recently won the provincial public art competition to create the largest mural in Eastern Quebec, produced in the summer of 2023, in Rimouski, Quebec.
