Danielle April
Danielle April was born in Rivière-du-Loup in 1949. She holds a baccalaureate degree in visual arts from Laval University.
Through her work, the artist remains on a course that leads her to explore and wonder about the transience of time. She is attempting to defy a formal timeline, and remains dedicated to creating works of art in which memory is more closely linked to reality.
The works of Danielle April have been shown in both solo and collective exhibitions. Many of the artist’s compositions are showcased in a number of public office buildings and private collections. In 2002, Danielle April was awarded the Prix d’excellence de la Culture Videre of the City of Québec in recognition for her contribution to the advancement of visual arts.
