Fluke
Fluke’s art reflects his journey as an urban artist in Montreal. His work incorporates subtle touches of texture, pattern, calligraphy and iconography from his early graffiti work dating back to 1995.
Fluke’s unique approach to fusing urban art with contemporary imagery, using unconventional artistic techniques and methods, has earned him a place as a Canadian on the international street art scene. Today, he works closely with photographers to create worlds that are then transported into his works. The “ribbons” and huge brushstrokes found in his work are a nod to the graffiti lettering and textures that link him to his roots as an artist.
In 2009, he formed the Ashop Crew with other artists and founded Ashop Productions, one of Canada’s leading urban art agencies. His involvement in the street art subculture and the success he has achieved with the Ashop Crew have put him on the radar of art lovers, with works to be admired all over the world, from Canada to New Zealand, France, China (Hong Kong) and the United States.
