Meky Ottawa

A multidisciplinary artist born in Manawan, Meky Ottawa uses video, illustration and installation as mediums to deal with topics specific to Aboriginal worlds. In 2016, she was chosen to participate in the NFB’s creative media arts laboratory, Déranger. Then, in 2017, she became known as part of the Montreal Aboriginal Museum’s LES ELISES aboriginal project with her immersive installation Kushapetshekan / Kosapitcikan – Épier l’autre monde, produced in collaboration with Eruoma Awashish and Jani Bellefleur-Kaltush.
