Robert Saucier

Born in New-Brunswick and living in Montreal for a few decades now, Robert Saucier is a specialist in robotic art, and teaches sculpture at UQAM. In addition to works created within the framework of the Quebec program for the integration of arts into architecture, his work has been showcased in Canada, Ireland, England and France.  The artist attempts to capture the interrelationship between scientific precepts and artistic and philosophical statements. His sculptural installations amplify the magic of the underlying technologies, but also showcase the futility of some uses.  In these controlled environments, the random and dizzying persist.
