Suzan Vachon
Suzan Vachon studied jewelry and glass techniques, as well as Mandarin and the history of China, before completing a BA in visual expression at the Université de Montréal (1986) and an MFA at the Université du Québec à Montréal (1990). Since 1992, she has been teaching regularly at both schools, delivering lectures throughout Quebec and publishing reviews. In addition, she has completed numerous projects for the integration of art into architecture. Vachon, who describes her work as a polyphonic space, explores the relationships between literature and a range of media, including sculpture, video, film, sound and photography. Her creations reflect her interest in the handling of light and the implementation of various strategies for spatializing images upon illuminated screens.
