Artwork description

Installed in Parc Serge-Garant on Rue Beaudry, the artwork is made of red-painted steel. Expressing duality, the sculpture is composed of two vertical tubes, twisted together halfway up their height. The rods symbolize the rigidity of forms resulting from urbanization, and the curves in the centre refer to the flexibility of plant life. The municipal collection includes two other sculptures by Jacques Carpentier, both made of painted steel.
