ESPACE GO

Website

For 35 years, Ginette Noiseux has pursued her goal of making the ESPACE GO theatre a creative centre, a home for artists who endeavour to capture and represent our ever-changing society. Under her direction, ESPACE GO has been committed to the pursuit of contemporary theatre—open to all points of view, interested in the zeitgeist of the time, and supportive of women involved the development of the theatrical arts.

In August 2011, ESPACE GO initiated its Quai des arts project, which sought not only to improve the appearance of the the theatre’s loading dock, but above all to encourage new arts collectives and talented young visual artists. With all the inherent creativity of the Montreal graffiti scene in mind, Ginette Noiseux wished for these artists to focus their energies on this space, without imposing any visual theme. Her only requirement was that women be part of the project. MU arose as the obvious partner.
