Now renamed the Gaston-Miron Building, it is home to the Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al and the Ballets Jazz de Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2014, a public notice launched by the city invited professional artists to submit a public art project. Three finalists were selected: the duo of Philippe Allard and Justin Duchesneau, Patrick Bernatchez and Yannick Pouliot.<\/p>\n<p>As described by the <a href=\"http:\/\/artpublic.ville.montreal.qc.ca\/en\/2016\/01\/yannick-pouliot-wins-the-competition-for-an-artwork-integrated-with-the-gaston-miron-building\/\" target=\"_blank\">Public Art Bureau<\/a>, the chosen project consists of a grouping of 32 pieces reproducing architectural elements composing the fa\u00e7ade of the building on a 1:1 scale. It offers a point of convergence for the architecture of the building, the poetry of Gaston Miron \u2013 one of the great contemporary Qu\u00e9bec poets, read and admired for the intensity and depth of his exploration of the human condition \u2013 and the artist\u2019s approach.
