Montr\u00e9al, May 1st\u00a02017<\/strong> \u2013 HEC Montr\u00e9al is\u00a0displaying three public works of art, acquired under the Quebec government program to integrate art into architecture (1% policy), in partnership with Art Public Montr\u00e9al. HEC Montr\u00e9al is\u00a0joining the 45 partners in this group and the School\u2019s public works of art are\u00a0added to the collection of 700 pieces described on the Art Public Montr\u00e9al digital platform.<\/p>\n Panorama 23\u00b0 27\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and Le vent se l\u00e8ve<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Two of the pieces are\u00a0displayed at the C\u00f4te-Ste-Catherine building. First of all, Panorama 23\u00b0 27\u2019<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>by artist Christian Kiopini, is a monumental work of constructivism, based on a grid concept, using blue as the base colour. The second piece is an outdoor sculpture entitled Le vent se l\u00e8ve<\/em><\/a>, by artist Catherine Widgery, representing a gold-leafed pyramid, the corners of which are perched on four tree-shaped bronze pillars.<\/p>\n A mural in the Decelles building<\/strong><\/p>\n Mural art is in the spotlight at the Decelles building, with a black and white collaborative mural by the EN MASSE project<\/a>. The mural, created by several young artists, possesses the power of a collective vision, giving it more impact than an individual creation.<\/p>\n The pieces in the Art Public Montr\u00e9al database can also be viewed in person, by public transit, by bicycle or on foot, on thematic, historical or fun tour routes. Art lovers can enjoy public artwork and murals across the city, in its parks and public spaces and at partner institutions like HEC Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n The HEC Montr\u00e9al community and the general public are invited to admire these three public works of art and the Art Public Montr\u00e9al collection.<\/p>\n -30-<\/p>\n HEC Montr\u00e9al is an internationally renowned business school, with over 13,000 students.
