Four new tableaux, creation of Michel Lemieux and\u00a0Victor Pilon, in collaboration with Michel Marc Bouchard, were unveiled tuesday evening\u00a0in the Old Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

Loosely inspired by people and events that marked the history of Montr\u00e9al, Cit\u00e9 M\u00e9moire\u00a0<\/em>offers a vision of the city that ranges from poetic to playful, through a series of approximately 20 tableaux that incorporate images, words, and music.\u00a0One of the most impressive outdoor projections experience in\u00a0the world, the artwork highlights the memory of Montr\u00e9al by adding four last tableaux.<\/p>\n

Le Grand Tableau, Cit\u00e9 M\u00e9moire<\/p><\/div>\n

Cit\u00e9 M\u00e9moire\u2019s Grand Tableau <\/strong>(Champ-de-Mars)<\/p>\n

Cit\u00e9 M\u00e9moire\u2019s Grand Tableau provides an overview of more than 375 years of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s history, using music and images projected onto the imposing walls of the Montr\u00e9al Courthouse. This 35-minute tableau will be projected at set times, available with surround sound.<\/p>\n

The three other tableaux are inspired by key figures who lived through significant events in Montr\u00e9al\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

Ever since the deadly winter of 1651, a brave new call has been coming from Jeanne Mance in her fight for the survival of the outpost of Ville-Marie.<\/p>\n

La Grande Paix de Montr\u00e9al, Cit\u00e9 M\u00e9moire<\/p><\/div>\n

The Great Peace of Montr\u00e9al <\/strong>(Close to the Pointe-\u00e0-Calli\u00e8re Museum)<\/p>\n

Governor Calli\u00e8re remembers his friend, the great Huron chief Kondiaronk, and the success of the peace conference between the indigenous peoples and the North American French population in the summer of 1701.<\/p>\n

The Expo 67 Hostess <\/strong>(On McGill St., at the intersection with Saint Maurice St.)<\/p>\n

A former hostess remembers the 1967 World\u2019s Fair and reminds us that Montr\u00e9al brought together the most innovative know-how in the world for the occasion.<\/p>\n

In addition to updating Old Montr\u00e9al\u2019s tourism offering, Cit\u00e9 M\u00e9moire has made our historical heritage accessible to all and showcased Montr\u00e9al\u2019s talent and creativity in multimedia.<\/p>\n
