{"id":67058,"date":"2019-08-28T14:26:09","date_gmt":"2019-08-28T18:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artpublicmontreal.ca\/?p=67058"},"modified":"2019-08-28T14:26:10","modified_gmt":"2019-08-28T18:26:10","slug":"the-new-public-art-map-has-arrived-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artpublicmontreal.ca\/en\/2019\/08\/the-new-public-art-map-has-arrived-2\/","title":{"rendered":"THE NEW PUBLIC ART MAP HAS ARRIVED!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Get the new edition of the public art map and start exploring more than 100 artworks that grace the urban landscape!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2013, to the great pleasure of art and architecture lovers, Art public Montr\u00e9al has published a map of tours to discover public art in Montr\u00e9al\u2019s central districts. New art recently added to the Montr\u00e9al landscape enriches this year\u2019s edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The map offers five itineraries, presenting more than 100 pieces. They were selected from among the 1000 elements of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s many public art collections, including those of the Ville de Montr\u00e9al, the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport de Montr\u00e9al (STM), private collectors, major companies and public institutions. This art, some of which is the result of the Qu\u00e9bec government\u2019s policy to integrate art into architecture and the environment, include sculptures, installations, photographs, paintings, stained glass, murals, and even auditory experiences!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tours have been created for some of the city\u2019s best-known districts: the Golden Square Mile and its museums, downtown, Vieux Montr\u00e9al, the Quartier des spectacles and Plateau Mont-Royal. All the itineraries take about 1.5 hours on foot.
