Artwork description
The mural, created by artist LSNR, stands as a powerful symbol of Montreal’s cycling heritage and a striking visual landmark for residents and visitors alike. It also complements the redevelopment of Brébeuf Street, begun in 2024, which transformed the corner in front of the Maison des cyclistes into a public square. This new, friendly, and safe space invites passersby and cyclists to stop, admire, and make the mural their own — echoing the spirit of sharing and connection that defines active transportation spaces. It serves as a reminder of the central role of cycling in Montreal’s identity and its importance in building inclusive and welcoming communities.
