




MU
MU is a charitable organization, the aim of which is to transform Montréal into an open-air museum. Its mission is to educate Montrealers about the importance of art in the public space by producing murals related to the community. Its interventions are based on the democratization of art and social development.
Over seven years, MU has produced more than 80 large-scale murals in 15 Montréal neighbourhoods, as well as 50 murals in socio-community facilities. MU has received many awards: Coup de cœur Art-Affaires from the Montréal Chamber of Commerce (2014), Coup de cœur Novae (2014), Citoyen de la culture Andrée-Daigle from the Les Arts et la ville network (2012), the ARISTA award from the Jeune chambre de commerce de Montréal (2011), the Prix Innovation culture from TELUS (2010), two provincial awards at the 10th Concours québécois en entrepreneuriat, and two Grafika awards (2008, 2012).
