Bernard Duguay is a happy blend of rigour and creativity.
His career has taken him to positions as director, artistic director and set designer for numerous cultural, museum and corporate events.
In 2000, he founded the multimedia production company Lucion Média, a studio that quickly became a source of inspiration and a creative hub for many new media artists and directors.

La Monarque is a striking light sculpture imagined and created by LUCION, a Montreal-based multimedia studio known for its immersive artistic experiences, and produced by LNDMRK. Installed in Humaniti hotel’s interior courtyard garden, this metallic sculpture composed of five flowers and three buds transforms the space into a place of contemplation and discovery.
By day, it captivates with its refined design and delicate structure; by night, its illuminated core comes alive, casting poetic shadow plays that reveal the full beauty of the piece.
Rooted in a simple yet evocative idea, La Monarque explores the wonder of early sensory discoveries : watching a shadow move, following it, and marveling at its quiet magic.

Its petals and central bud filter natural light by day and artificial light by night. Over time, these beams sculpt geometric and floral motifs across the ground and structure, giving the work a living presence that shifts and transforms throughout the hours.
