ASHOP PRODUCTIONS is a street art production and artists management agency based in Montreal. Now internationally renowned, it is the result of the work and dedication of the ASHOP CREW, which has managed to ensure the success and growth of the company for 10 years now. Its mission is to produce large-scale public art projects and highlight the talent of the artists they represent. To this day, ASHOP has at its disposal creative spaces and produces as many murals as custom art projects in several international cities, such as Montreal, Toronto, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris, and Hong Kong.
Artwork description
In this mural, realized with the support of Saint-Laurent, the graffiti artist offers his vision of a public work. Thus, the idea behind L’Envol comes from Greek mythology, Dodo Ose combining the myths of Pegasus and Arion at the heart of his allegory. The character of the Fame symbolizes the public recognition, whereas the horses to be tamed represent Pegasus and Arion, that is to say the creativity and the inspiration. Impression of movement, the work illustrates the growth and demographic, economic and cultural vitality of Saint-Laurent. Finally, the Greek origins of the Vriniotis family, implicated in the choice of the theme, are also echoed in the mural.
