Centre de services scolaire de la Pointe-de-l'Île
The Centre de services scolaires de la Pointe-de-l’Île (CSSPI) provides educational services to over 46,000 students. It includes 41 elementary schools, 9 high schools, 4 specialized schools, 8 adult education centers, a semester school, a business services center and the Centre régional de formation à distance du Grand Montréal.
Located in the northeastern part of the island of Montreal, the CSSPI covers the territories of the city of Montreal East and four Montreal boroughs: Rivière-des-Prairies/Pointe-aux-Trembles, Saint-Léonard, Anjou and Montreal North. Over the years, the CSSPI has built several schools and completed dozens of expansions. These new constructions promote the integration of the arts with architecture and the environment.
By participating in the Art public Montréal project, the CSSPI wants to make its works known. It hopes to attract the interest of students, parents, staff and the general public. The CSSPI also wants to promote the evolution of the visual arts in all their forms, and the development of culture in the school environment.
