At the crossroads of graphic design and fine art, Marc-Olivier Lamothe presents a colorful, cut-out world, sometimes painted, sometimes illustrated. From his digital visuals to his paintings, Lamothe uses a vectorized style.
Marc-Olivier Lamothe creates spontaneously by observing various living organisms interacting around him. It’s a transposition of his vision of this chaotic world, which he often compares to the jungle. He presents his observations in a mix of floating abstract forms, vibrant colors, natural elements and living creatures integrated into a two-dimensional space. Marc-Olivier Lamothe opens the door to a fun and chaotic world.

Artwork description
Une nouvelle murale embellit l’environnement des élèves de l’école primaire Marie-de-l’Incarnation!
The wall, which had carried a work by artist PHLASH for many years, was in an advanced state of disrepair when major renovations were undertaken, in 2019. During this work, the playground, unfortunately located very close to the Turcot interchange, was equipped with sports fields, green spaces and ground markings, in order to provide the best possible environment for young students, despite its unfavorable geographical location. The wall facing the recreation ground was also renovated, erasing its former colors and leaving a white canvas, in place since the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2024, MU was finally able to take steps to revitalize the wall. Artist Marc-Olivier Lamothe was selected to create a colorful, refreshing and invigorating painting. Through his work, Marc-Olivier likes to create places where we can rest our eyes for a moment, and infuse our subconscious with playful vibes. This new mural, directly overlooking the schoolyard, invites children and teachers to stroll through this garden of possibilities, full of surprises.
